WITH reference to your despatch No. 407 of the 12th October, 1906, I transmit to you copies of correspondence, as marked in the margin," respecting the objection of the United States' Government to Article 25 of the draft Regulatons for the registration of trade-marks in China.
You will perceive that the United States are willing to withdraw their objection on the understanding that Article 7 is amended by the addition of the following words: "The right of priority shall extend only to such trade-marks as have been registered in a foreign country after the going into effect of the law."
You are authorized to agree to the proposed amendment of Article 7.
